Does your little one love Thomas, Percy, James, Gordon, and all the friends from Sodor Island? You can now make all their dreams come true at Thomas Land in Edaville Family Park, Carver, MA. While we have visited many many times, we were invited to attend a new event, The Thomas and Friends VIP Breakfast, yesterday. We loved getting the extra time with favorite characters, a photoshoot with Sir Topham Hatt and Thomas, and getting early access to the Thomas Land rides!
Edaville Family Theme Park is made up of 3 different parts; Thomas Land, Cran Central, and Dino Land. Edaville opens yearly in the Spring through September, then features a “Not so Spooky” Halloween in October and reopens in November for the Festival of Lights. Year round you can enjoy the antique Carousel, Old Fashion Ferris Wheel, and 20 minute train ride, as well as Cran Central rides and Thomas Land!
Cran Central is where the “classic” amusement rides are located. Tilt-a-whirl and the scrambler are two of our favorites, as well as the rocket ships and balloons. There are also rides indoors aimed for the toddler aged kids! While in Cran Central make sure to stop by the food stop near the scrambler for ice cream or a fried dough!
Dino Land is the smallest of the 3 areas, but its definitely not small in entertainment. There is a fun small ride at the entrance to Dino Land, along with a gift shop, dino dig & arcade style game. The biggest attraction is the Dino Land Walking Trail, where children walk through an old amusement park which has been taken over by 23 animatronic dinosaurs. Watch out for the T-Rex!
Last, but definitely not least, is Thomas Land. This area was built in 2015 and is like stepping onto the Island of Sodor. Tidmoth Sheds is always a favorite stop to take pictures with Percy, James, Emily and Gordon. If you time it right Thomas just might come by pulling his coaches while you are there! There are pleanty of Thomas’s other friends in Thomas Land including Cranky, Harold, Flynn, Bullstroke, The Diesels and so many more. Definitely make sure to take a high-flying ride on Winston to get a bird eye view!
Overall, we love Edaville, and we love to visit whenever we get a chance! The staff is always upbeat and happy, they are trained & well receptive of children with disabilities, they allow you to bring your own food & picnic in the grassy areas(One is right in Thomas Land). If your little one likes rides, trains, dinosaurs of Thomas the Train you should definitely bring them to Edaville!
